From our family to yours:

One last Very Special Christmas Program!

Dear Friends,

The waiting and the hours are winding down... and soon will come the dawn of Christmas Day 2006!

We hope we have been able to make YOUR family's holiday season a little bit richer and more meaningful this year.

Thanks so much to all of you who have written us with such kind comments and have told your friends about our little site. We are so grateful for your support and encouragement!

You'll find your final Christmas program of the season below... cuddle up on the couch with your kids and some hot cocoa, and make a memory.

We wish you and yours a joyous and blessed Christmas!

But first, a quick quiz:
Can you guess which of the following quotes belong to which of these four great Americans?

Quotation #1: "Who is wise? He that learns from every one. Who is powerful? He that governs his passions.
Who is rich? He that is content. Who is that? Nobody!"

Quotation #2: "Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing."

Quotation #3: "Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for 'tis better to be alone than in bad company."

Quotation #4: "If we work upon marble, it will perish; if we work upon brass, time will efface it; if we rear temples, they will crumble into dust; but if we work upon immortal minds and instill into them just principles, we are then engraving that upon tablets which no time will efface, but will brighten and brighten to all eternity."

Okay, this year's final Christmas program is...

Blessed Are They

Child actress Margaret O'Brien stars in this wonderful, moving little story set on Christmas Eve in England, where a family who believes in prayer is hoping for some kind of miracle for their little blind daughter. They get it, but it is not quite like you'd expect. This story is one of those that stays with you... I wasn't even sure what to think about it the first time I heard it, but after some reflection, I think it sounds just about right. Gather the kids around and give this one a listen and let us know what you think. You'll probably shed a tear or two, but you'll long remember this tale, as originally broadcast on Family Theatre back on December 22, 1948.

Okay, here's the download link for you:

Alternate link if the above is busy

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS below if you are unfamiliar with downloading a file or are having any problems with your download.

To download a program, RIGHT click (use the right hand button on your mouse) the link above, and "save target as" (or "save link as") to the directory of your choice.

The file should start downloading right away. If it doesn't, try it again, and follow these instructions carefully. (DON'T cut and paste this link into your web browser -- that will just PLAY the program over the internet (it will be jumpy and start & stop a lot), and will not DOWNLOAD the program. If you want to download it to your computer, you need to follow the above instructions.)

NOTE: If the file just starts playing over your computer right away, that's because you clicked the link with the LEFT hand button on your mouse. You need to click the RIGHT HAND button to download the whole show to your computer.

IF you right click the link and your computer does not allow you to "save target", you need to adjust your computer's security settings (or disable your "internet content advisor" settings) to allow downloaded files.

MAC USERS: In order to download these files, hold down the Control key then click the link with your mouse.  It will then download to the directory you choose.

If your download is unusually slow, it could be because our server is busy or overtaxed. You might try again at a later hour. It should - eventually - work fine.

This file will be available for the next week or two only, so don't put off downloading it if you want a copy.
