Selling Information To The Business Sector As many of you know, I've made 99% of my publishing profits creating, marketing and promoting booklets to the business sector. Many people are intimidated by the idea of approaching the "key decision makers" in big companies and organizations. As one person recently said to me, "Forget BIG companies... I can't even bear the thought of approaching LITTLE companies!" Why worry about someone saying, "No?" The BIG decision makers are really just ordinary people. The only difference is; they're buying for their company... not for themselves. The "magic" isn't in the booklet itself... it's in HOW the booklet is used (see http://www.simplepublications.com for more information). You have absolutely nothing to lose "sharing" the concepts of booklet marketing with a company or organization. Nothing at all. And you have everything to gain. No tension, no self-consciousness, no worries. Be the person with the winning marketing angle. That's how I started. I felt like an actor in a play. I was playing a part that, up until that point in time, was totally foreign to me. I knew the booklet idea would work, but I didn't have any past successes to point to! My "confidence" had no visible evidence to back it up. My belief, however, was so strong that it in and of itself sold the idea. Marketing expert Jay Abraham once talked about how effective it is to borrow marketing techniques from on field and bringing them over to another. That's what booklet marketing to the business sector is in a nutshell. It's selling info-products, IN BULK, to businesses and organizations. Wherever I go, I talk about the concept of using "How-To" publications to promote a variety of products and services. I call it one of the "best kept secrets" in marketing today. Do you like that phrase? Feel free to use it. Start talking about one of the best-kept secrets in marketing today with the people you come in contact with. Talk about how it works without "trying" to sell it. Watch the responses you receive. And above all... learn. Learn how to develop a personality that sells. I love when people ask me "what I do for a living." Your enthusiasm can leave a deeper impression than you may imagine. And friends, I've said it before and I'll say it again... selling to the business sector is WHERE THE MONEY IS. Everyone wants to hit the big HOME RUN. And the business sector can be the quickest route, in my opinion, to doing just that. ----------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Past Issues of The Jimmy Krug Report As of now, it looks like we're scrapping plans to make past issues of this newsletter available online. If someone has saved them and would like to make them available through the discussion board, that would be fine with all of us. They're around. Somewhere.
